Mafair's latest stream

As we maintain physical distance from one another to inhibit the spread of the Coronavirus, Mafair UMC is committed to finding new ways to worship the Lord together and maintain community.

We have been holding Sunday Worship and daily Bible devotions on Facebook Live. If you don't use Facebook, or you'd prefer to avoid the hassle of finding the correct video, this will be a help to you.

Click here, and you'll find our current livestream (if there's an ongoing broadcast), or the most recent completed livestream. Blessings to you!

Esther: It’s Tough Being a Woman
Join Beth Moore in an in-depth and very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance. She peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. This portion of God's Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives.

When the Game Is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box by John Ortberg
Life is like a game. It moves towards a goal, has rules to follow, and won't go on forever. John Ortberg explains how to play the game of life in When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box. Rather than striving to be Master of the Board, Ortberg reminds us that the object of life is to be rich towards God - loving Him and loving others. Everything else - your possessions, your resume, your money, your power - will all go back in the box when your life is over. Learn how to play the game, recognize hazards along the way, and collect eternal trophies with Ortberg's kingdom-based strategy!
Leader: Winston Rawlston
Class time: 6:30 - 7:30

Pilates focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine as well as strengthening of the deep torso muscles, upper body and lower body. These classes will be taught in a progression so participants are able to choose which level of exercise is most appropriate. Come see just how flexible you are! Please see Leslie for additional information.
Leader: Leslie Tatum

Pastor’s Class - Five Fruitful Practices by Robert Schnase
What if the members of Mafair UMC met people at the door on Sunday and in the grocery store or office through the week with Radical Hospitality? What if we invited people to experience Passionate Worship every Sunday? What if we made Intentional Faith Development the goal for every member? What if we gave our time and resources to Risk-Taking Mission and Service? What if we supported the ministries of our church with Extravagant Generosity? This study explores these five practices as keys for a growing, faithful and fruitful congregation.
