Mafair's latest stream

As we maintain physical distance from one another to inhibit the spread of the Coronavirus, Mafair UMC is committed to finding new ways to worship the Lord together and maintain community.

We have been holding Sunday Worship and daily Bible devotions on Facebook Live. If you don't use Facebook, or you'd prefer to avoid the hassle of finding the correct video, this will be a help to you.

Click here, and you'll find our current livestream (if there's an ongoing broadcast), or the most recent completed livestream. Blessings to you!

Opportunities to Support Sudan Partnership

Although not everyone can participate in a ‘hands-on” mission to Sudan, each of us can do something to reach out to people there who are struggling to exist – many without clean water, ample food and medicine and other basic needs.  Two opportunities to participate in our partnership with the people of Yei, Sudan will be held the weekend of April 24-25 in the form of a giant yard sale and an evening of entertainment.
On April 24th and 25th, Mafair UMC will sponsor a SALE FOR SUDAN.  Sale hours will be 3 pm to 8 pm on Friday, April 24th and 8 am to 3 pm on Saturday, April 25th.  Proceeds from the sale will be used for providing clean water and other basic needs for the people in the area of Yei Sudan.  You can help with this effort by donating items for the sale (NO CLOTHING PLEASE!), by assisting the sale, and by purchasing items at the sale.  Items for donation may be brought to Mafair Monday April 20th – Thursday April 23rd between the hours of 9 am – 12 noon and 3 pm – 5 pm.  If you would like to help with the sale please contact the church office at 378-9620 or email  Mafair is located at 1409 E. Center Street in Kingsport.
Then, on Saturday April 25th at 7 pm there will be a benefit concert featuring Lightnin’ Charlie.  Lightnin’ Charlie has appeared at a variety of venues around the Tri-cities and beyond and entertains with a variety of music genres (check him out on YouTube).  What could be easier than an evening of quality entertainment while supporting our partnership with the people of Sudan!?  The concert will be held in the Family Life Center at Colonial Heights United Methodist Church.  Admission will be by donation at the door with all monies received to be used for digging additional wells around Yei, Sudan.
